Terms And Conditions

Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning Service Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions set out the basis on which Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning provides carpet, upholstery and related cleaning services within its service area. By making a booking, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order for any services.

1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, the following expressions have the meanings set out below:

Customer means the person, firm or company who requests the services and is responsible for payment.

Services means carpet, rug, upholstery and other cleaning services, together with any additional services agreed between the Customer and Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning.

Premises means the property or location where the Services are to be carried out.

Agreement means the contract formed between the Customer and Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning for the provision of Services, incorporating these Terms and Conditions.

2. Scope of Services

Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning provides professional carpet, rug and upholstery cleaning and related services within its defined operating area. The specific Services to be provided will be set out in the booking confirmation based on the information supplied by the Customer.

The Company reserves the right to decline any booking that falls outside its service capabilities or operational area, or where safe and proper service delivery cannot be reasonably assured.

3. Booking Process

3.1 Bookings can be made by the Customer through the Company’s chosen communication channels. A booking is only regarded as confirmed once the Customer has received explicit confirmation from Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning, which may include confirmation of date, time, services requested, and applicable charges.

3.2 The Customer is responsible for ensuring that all information provided at the time of booking is accurate and complete, including the size and type of areas to be cleaned, the nature of any stains or damage, the type of carpet or upholstery fibres, access details and any parking restrictions.

3.3 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning may request photographs or additional information before confirming a booking, in order to provide a realistic estimate and to determine the appropriate equipment and products.

3.4 Quotations are based on the information provided by the Customer. If, on arrival, the actual condition, size or nature of the Premises or items to be cleaned differs materially from that described, the Company reserves the right to revise the quotation, adjust the services, or decline to proceed. Any revised charges will be discussed with the Customer before work begins.

4. Access to the Premises

4.1 The Customer must ensure that Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning operatives have safe and reasonable access to the Premises at the agreed time, including clear access to the areas to be cleaned, adequate lighting and a functioning electrical supply.

4.2 If parking permits or arrangements are required, the Customer is responsible for providing a suitable parking option or any necessary permits. Any parking charges reasonably incurred in connection with the delivery of the Services may be added to the final invoice.

4.3 If operatives are unable to gain access to the Premises at the agreed time, or if access is significantly delayed through no fault of Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning, the visit may be treated as a late cancellation and a fee may be payable as set out in the cancellation section.

5. Customer Responsibilities

5.1 The Customer must remove any fragile, delicate or valuable items from the areas to be cleaned before the arrival of operatives, or clearly draw attention to any such items that cannot reasonably be moved.

5.2 While the Company will take reasonable care when moving light furniture if required, it may decline to move heavy, fragile or fixed items such as large wardrobes, pianos, aquariums, electrical equipment, or fittings attached to walls or floors. The Customer should arrange for such items to be moved before the visit if cleaning beneath or behind them is required.

5.3 The Customer must inform the Company of any known defects, loose fittings, pre-existing damage, high-value rugs or delicate fabrics, or previous cleaning or treatment that may affect the outcome or risks of the cleaning process.

6. Prices and Payment

6.1 All prices are provided in pounds sterling and are inclusive or exclusive of any applicable taxes as stated at the time of quotation. Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning reserves the right to adjust prices from time to time, but the price agreed at the time of booking will apply to that specific booking, subject to the accuracy of the information supplied.

6.2 Payment terms will be stated at the time of booking. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately upon completion of the Services. The Company may require a deposit or partial prepayment to secure a booking, particularly for larger jobs or multiple visits.

6.3 Payment methods accepted will be notified by the Company and may include cashless options. The Company does not accept responsibility for payments made to operatives in any form not expressly authorised by the Company.

6.4 In the event of late payment, the Company reserves the right to charge interest and reasonable recovery costs in accordance with applicable UK law.

7. Cancellations and Amendments

7.1 The Customer may cancel or amend a booking by providing reasonable notice. The required notice period and any applicable charges will be communicated at the time of booking. As a general guideline, cancellations or significant changes made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time may incur a cancellation fee.

7.2 If the Customer fails to provide access to the Premises at the agreed time, or the visit cannot proceed due to circumstances within the Customer’s control, this may be treated as a same-day cancellation and the full or partial service charge may become payable.

7.3 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning will make reasonable efforts to attend at the agreed time but reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a booking in the event of unforeseen circumstances, such as staff illness, equipment failure, dangerous conditions at the Premises, or severe traffic disruption. In such cases, the Company will offer an alternative appointment. Any deposit paid for the affected booking will either be transferred to the new date or refunded if no suitable alternative can be agreed.

8. Service Standards and Limitations

8.1 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning will provide the Services using reasonable care and skill, in accordance with industry standards for carpet and upholstery cleaning and taking account of the information provided by the Customer.

8.2 While the Company aims to achieve the best possible results, it cannot guarantee that all stains, marks, odours or wear will be fully removed. The outcome of cleaning may depend on the age and type of stain, the material, previous cleaning attempts and general condition. Certain stains such as those from paint, dye, permanent marker or heavy pet damage may not be removable.

8.3 Drying times are estimates only and may vary depending on ventilation, temperature, humidity, fabric type and pile depth. The Customer is responsible for ensuring adequate ventilation and for following any aftercare advice given by the operative.

8.4 The Company reserves the right to decline to clean any item or area where, in its reasonable opinion, cleaning would be unsafe, likely to cause damage, or ineffective due to the condition or construction of the material.

9. Damage and Liability

9.1 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning holds appropriate insurance for the nature of its services. The Company will use reasonable care to avoid damage to property and belongings during the provision of Services.

9.2 The Customer must report any alleged damage or issues arising from the Services in writing as soon as reasonably practicable and, in any event, within 48 hours of completion of the visit. The Customer must provide clear details and, where possible, photographs of the issue. The Company will then investigate and, where appropriate, seek to agree a suitable resolution, which may include re-cleaning or other remedial action.

9.3 The Company’s total liability for any direct loss or damage arising from the Services, whether in contract, tort or otherwise, shall be limited to the total price paid or payable for the relevant Services, except where such limitation is not permitted by law.

9.4 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or purely economic loss, including loss of profit or loss of opportunity, nor for pre-existing damage, normal wear and tear, deterioration caused by age or previous cleaning, or damage arising from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the Customer.

9.5 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall limit or exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law.

10. Waste Handling and Environmental Compliance

10.1 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning is committed to complying with relevant UK waste management and environmental regulations when handling waste arising from its Services. This includes the responsible use, storage and disposal of cleaning solutions and waste water, and the proper segregation and disposal of any solid waste generated as part of the cleaning process.

10.2 The Company will normally dispose of light waste and residues generated directly by its cleaning activities. Larger items, such as old carpets, underlay or bulky furnishings, are not included unless expressly agreed as an additional service, and any associated charges will be notified in advance.

10.3 The Customer must not request or require the Company to dispose of waste in any manner that would breach applicable waste regulations or local requirements, such as discharging waste where it may enter surface water drains or communal spaces contrary to law.

10.4 Where the Customer requests disposal of particular items that may require special handling under UK waste regulations, the Company may decline such requests or refer the Customer to appropriate licensed waste carriers.

11. Health and Safety

11.1 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning operates in accordance with relevant UK health and safety laws and will take reasonable steps to ensure the safety of its operatives, the Customer and any third parties present at the Premises during the provision of Services.

11.2 The Customer must inform the Company of any known hazards at the Premises, such as loose floorboards, poor lighting, exposed wiring, or other safety concerns. The Company may refuse to carry out Services where conditions are, in its reasonable opinion, unsafe.

11.3 Certain cleaning solutions and equipment must be kept away from children and pets during and immediately after cleaning. The Customer is responsible for supervising children and pets and for following any safety instructions provided by the operative.

12. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

12.1 If the Customer is dissatisfied with any aspect of the Services, they should raise the issue as soon as possible, ideally while the operative is still on site so that immediate steps can be taken to address it where feasible.

12.2 Formal complaints should be submitted in writing, providing full details of the issue and any supporting evidence. Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning will acknowledge and investigate complaints in a timely manner and will seek to resolve them fairly, which may include offering a re-clean of affected areas where appropriate.

13. Privacy and Data

13.1 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning collects and processes personal data relating to Customers for the purpose of managing bookings, delivering Services and administering payments. Such data will be handled in accordance with applicable UK data protection laws.

13.2 The Company will not sell or knowingly disclose Customer personal data to third parties except where necessary for the performance of the Services, the processing of payments, compliance with legal obligations, or with the Customer’s consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

14.1 Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning may update or amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The version applicable to a particular booking will be the version in force at the time of confirmation of that booking.

14.2 Customers are encouraged to review the latest version of these Terms and Conditions before making each new booking.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

15.1 These Terms and Conditions, and any Agreement arising from them, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

15.2 The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions or the Services provided, including any non-contractual disputes or claims.

By confirming a booking with Finsbury Park Carpet Cleaning, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
